Our Kitchen Garden - Handmade delights & bespoke giftware

Our passion

Our Kitchen Garden is a labour of love for me, a Brisbane-based artisan who, together with my family, design and hand-craft a range of rustic garden and kitchen wares to inspire and enrich hearth and home.

From the inventive and practical to the quaint and quirky, for the here and now to the there and then, we maintain a holistic approach to healthier and more sustainable living, seamlessly merging form with function in all we create.

Each distinctive piece, whether it be a hand-turned Twine Holder, a Trug or a Recipe Box, is lovingly hand-crafted from timber with an innate respect for traditional craftsmanship of years gone by, as well as an unflagging consciousness of the years to come.

Our inspiration

Our Kitchen Garden started as a solution to a personal predicament. I spent years trawling local homeware stores and magazines in search of homely hand-crafted pieces to trust and treasure, and many sunny afternoons fantasising about creating my own garden wonderland reminiscent of provincial Europe. Little did I know the search would end in a workshop in my own backyard, where I would enlist my retired father to help create those very objects I had yearned for – objects which conjure up the rustic comforts of country life, where nothing is too structured, nothing too rushed and everything is to be savoured.

Our service

The Our Kitchen Garden team (my family) are most at home in our workshop buried under sawdust, behind our market stall or nestled in our garden with a freshly brewed cup of tea dreaming up our next creation. Needless to say, our product range is ever expanding and limited only by our imagination and that of our customers whom can take advantage of our bespoke design service and custom create a specific piece or modify one of ours.

Our wish

Our Kitchen Garden relishes in creating distinctive hand-crafted delights and bespoke giftware to engage, enrich and inspire the homebody in all of us. The home is where our heart is and we have a sneaking suspicion yours might be there too. We hope Our Kitchen Garden becomes Your Kitchen Garden.
